Hocosa fine woolens provide a much-needed base layer on colder days and can be used as clothing on warmer days. Wool has wonderful insulating properties, which help keep the heart rate calm and blood pressure low. These woolens provide a thin layer of warmth, and do not bunch up under clothing.

Our Hocosa woolens are made from either 100% fine merino wool, or a 70/30 blend of merino wool for cozy warmth and pure silk for added comfort. Due of their softness, the wool/silk blend is child-requested more than any other blend. Our children's woolens are available in a natural, off-white color.

For babies with ultra-sensitive skin or lanolin allergies, we also sell a Hocosa Cotton / Silk blend and Under the Nile 100% Organic Cotton.

Care Instructions: Woolens are very simple to care for. Wash weekly or bi-weekly wirth a mild soap that will not strip the anti-bacterial qualities of lanolin in the woolens. Lukewarm water is best. Washing your woolens by hand will extend their life. Air dry all woolens. Rolling them up in a towel after washing will provide a quicker air drying time.

We sell Kookaburra Wool Wash and Liquid Lanolin to help you care for your woolens, and have found that these products achieve the most desirable results with our wool items.

Wool is the most complex, breathable fiber on earth. It wicks away moisture, leaving the body at a comfortable and constant temperature, whether one is under the heat of the desert or the cold of the arctic.

Wool is reusable, fire resistant, biodegradable and a renewable resource. Nothing compares with the comfort, resilience, wear-ability, versatility, and health benefits of woolens. Our children’s woolen line provides a thin layer that will not bunch-up under clothing.
