Although these plates can be used for play, we strongly encourage bringing them to your dining table for the kids. They are finished with Three Beeautiful Bees All-Natural Beeswax Polish which is perfectly safe for eating.

To maintain the life of the plate you must not wash it in the dishwasher or get them wet. Instead, use a sponge with a little bit of water and soap and hand dry right away. DO NOT SOAK YOUR PLATE!!! To preserve it for generations, you should occasionally add a beeswax polish.

    beautiful plate to use for many years

    When my son started solids I wanted some dishes that weren't plastic. Knowing they were going to get thrown on the ground often anything breakable was out too. This plate is perfect and beautiful! He loves to play with it and it looks beautiful with his food on it. It is easy to clean, though I usually rub some olive oil on it every other washing because it starts seeming a little rough.
