The writing area is divided into 3 bars: 9mm wide upper and lower bars are light green, the middle bar is light pink. As a child has to apply their will power to writing in the specially marked upper and lower areas, these are deliberately emphasized. Landscape format, 8.25" x11.5", 24 pages.

Based on a design by the Dutch Waldorf teacher Els Gottgens. When handwriting practice is done later, without the help of the colored bars, balanced handwriting is produced.
