On Monday we washed clothes on a washboard with water from the rain barrel.

In simpler times, daily chores enabled a connection to the earth, a connection that we rarely see today. Teach your child a simpler way. Allow them to connect to a time when the change of seasons was all the entertainment one needed. Although our washboard can be used for play, it is nonetheless the real thing. Each washboard is hand assembled using poplar wood and aluminum, created on the same machines that have been used since the early part of the 20th century.
